It’s a Great Time to be a Librarian!

As I have stated in previous posts, I am not studying to be a teacher librarian but a librarian and I am excited about this! I feel that until you, as a patron walk into a library and see what it has to offer you are unaware of its worldly connected potential. And I feel this would be the case for children who enter the library at their school. I know for certain that when I was at school the library consisted of three levels of quiet area with many study tables and two prehistoric computers that you could look up Encarta when you had an assignment and a photocopier that cost twenty cents per copy. It was a quiet sanctuary for the unpopular students and ones who preferred books to people.
